Chazelles is a family business that set up in 1979, with just 9 employees, in Chazelles-France, where fine-quality light golden local stone has been mined and dressed for centuries.

Recognized for its expertise in the design of customized fireplaces, Chazelles manufactures and distributes complete heating systems combining aesthetic considerations with high energy and environmental performance.

On the company’s vast Chazelles site, stone dressers work alongside latest generation of digitally controlled machinery.

The company presently covers 7 hectares, comprising production site, R&D office, testing laboratory, engineering office, administrative departments, and 1000-m² warehouse, and has a total of 130 employees. Today, it is taking on fresh impetus, putting innovation and design at the heart of its development strategy.

The KAW-MET foundry is an ISO Certified, long standing family run company where experience is gathered through practice and is passed on from generation to generation. Its history stretches back to 1981.  

In cooperation with the Rzeszów University of Technology, KAW-MET has developed a new type of material with a modified chemical composition and microstructure: cast iron with vermicular graphite in a ferritic matrix. The breakthrough technology has not been used in the world so far and is protected by a patent.

As part of the Intelligent Development Operational Program, KAW-MET has completed an advanced project to implement an innovative technology for the production of vermicular cast iron fireplace inserts with graphite with a ferritic matrix with a higher thermal power and longer life than traditional fireplaces. As a result of the research carried out for several months, an innovative type of cast iron was developed, distinguished by definitely better functional properties, high durability and strength.

KAW-MET  scientifically proved that the properties and functions of the new cast iron they created essentially distinguish it from other products available on the market, and thus determine its innovation. What is extremely important to note is that we are talking about product innovation on an international scale, because the breakthrough technology that has been developed has not been used by anyone else in the production of fireplaces not only in Poland, but also around the world. The unique properties of the product are also confirmed by the patent granted by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland.


“PANADERO, a family owned business for more than 65 years, controls the whole manufacture process of the stove from very beginning to the end. We start with a blank paper where we design a new model. This first design converts into a prototype, which, after demanding tests and adjustments needed, will become a wood burning stove ready for the production process. Each stove is manufactured by us using only high quality raw materials. We do not outsource any production process nor purchase parts from third parties. We are 100% Panadero.“
